I’m pleased to be included in the Plein air painting event with the Oil Painters of America (OPA), happening between February 28 and March 1 in downtown St. Augustine. This event is being held in conjunction with the Oil Painters of America’s 2019 “Virtuosos of the OPA” Exhibition hosted by Cutter & Cutter Fine Art located in St. Augustine, Florida.

I often do plein air (outside) painting locally, by the marshes, boats, and beaches; and all around the historic old city. During this event, I’ll be painting with world-renowned master artists who have made the trip to St. Augustine for the Virtuosos event.

Over the past couple of years, I have journeyed around the U.S. to attend other OPA events to breathe different air and paint different scenes. Now it’s their turn to come to my home. But it’s not the first time the OPA has been here. They held their national convention in St. Augustine a few years ago, and that’s when I first got to know some of the artist members. Since then, I’ve enjoyed being included in occasional plein air events with this awesome group.
